The Term begins when you start using CovertPirates and continues as long as you use the website and its services. Description of Service

CovertPirates.com is an unofficial website for reporting Covid Virus exposure sites. We define an exposure site as a public place or route that has been visited by a person while they are likely infected with Corona Virus.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing CovertPirates.com, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of use and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions and our site

We may change any of the Terms by posting revised Terms of Use on our Website and/or by sending an email to the last email address you gave us. The new Terms will be effective immediately and apply to any continued or new use of CovertPirates. It is your responsibility to check the Terms of Use on the website regularly as we may not always send out an email when the Terms are changed, but we will always update the Terms and Conditions of this page. We may change the Website, the Service, or any features of the Service at any time.

Disclaimer

By using this site, you acknowledge that CovertPirates.com in no way suggests that a particular venue is Covid Free. Venues without any Covid Exposures listed may have had Covid Exposures that are not reported. Furthermore, the length of the Covid Exposure reported may be different to the actual exposure. When using CovertPirates.com you acknowledge that listings for a site may not be timely or even published even though a Covid Exposures may have taken place at a site.

CovertPirates.com makes no guarantee of the authenticity of any of the exposure sites listed. If a site is believed to be incorrect, you may report it by clicking on the "Report Abuse" button on the Covid Virus Exposure Site listing.

The materials on the CovertPirates’ website are provided "as is". CovertPirates.com makes no warranties, representations or guarantees, whether expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights including without limitation in respect of: (i) the materials provided on CovertPirates.com’s website. Further, CovertPirates.com does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the materials on its website or the contents of any sites linked to this site. CovertPirates.com does not accept responsibility for the accuracy or correctness of user-generated content. CovertPirates.com does not explicitly or implicitly condone or support any message or claim made by any of its users, nor does it guarantee or endorse any User Generated Content.

User-generated content: submitting Covid Exposure sites

CovertPirates.com publishes Covid Virus Exposure Sites submitted by registered users. While we try to ensure that information is correct, we accept no liability in respect of any material submitted by users and are not responsible for its content and accuracy. As a User you are solely responsible for all text, images, videos, links and other content that you create, upload, post, publish or display using CovertPirates.com.

Users may submit new covid exposure sites for publication on CovertPirates.com under the following terms and conditions:

  • 1. Only public locations or routes are allowed to be listed as exposure sites. Private Residences are strictly forbidden from being listed.
  • 2. Publication of any material you submit to us will be at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to make additions or deletions to the text or graphics at any time, or to remove publication.
  • 3. You agree that any and all content, including without limitation any and all text, graphics, logos, photographs, images, illustrations, audio and video, animations, and feedback (collectively, “Content”) that you provide, is perpetually and irrevocably licensed to CovertPirates.com on a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive basis pursuant to Creative Commons licensing terms (CC BY-SA 4.0), and you grant CovertPirates.com the perpetual and irrevocable right and license to access, use, process, copy, distribute, export, display and to commercially exploit such Subscriber Content, even if such Subscriber Content has been contributed and subsequently removed by you as reasonably necessary to, for example (without limitation): To provide, maintain, and update the website, To process lawful requests from law enforcement agencies and government agencies, to prevent and address security incidents and data security features, support features, and to provide technical assistance as it may be required, or to aggregate data to provide product optimization. This means that you cannot revoke permission for CovertPirates to publish, distribute, store and use such content and to allow others to have derivative rights to publish, distribute, store and use such content. You acknowledge that any breach of these conditions may cause us damage or loss. You agree to indemnify us in full and permanently against any third-party liabilities, claims, costs, loss or damage we incur as a result of your breach of conditions (1) to (7) above. You must act honestly and in good faith in your dealings with us and (if requested) you must provide us with reasonable assistance to settle, defend or investigate any third-party claims arising as a result of our publication of material you submit to us.

We reserve the right to remove your access to individual services completely if we believe you are abusing the services in any way.

As a User, whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload content to our site, or to make contact with other users of our site, you warrant that you have the necessary authorisation to provide this information. You will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

  • Hate speech, intimidation or abuse of any kind targeting any individual, group or institution.

  • Any content that tries to discredit the importance of vaccines or the seriousness of Covid without including verifiable scientific proof from a recognised scientific body.
  • Any other activity that CovertPirates.com may deem in its sole discretion to be unacceptable.

We have the right to check and remove any content or posting you make on our site if, in our opinion, this is reasonably necessary to protect the website or if it violates any of the terms and conditions.

Linking to the Site and Scraping

You may not scrape content from this site and repost such content automatically without CovertPirates.com’s prior written consent. This site must not be framed on any other site without our prior written permission. We reserve the right to withdraw scraping and framing permission without notice. Bots or other automatic means must not be used to interact with our website without permission.

Links to External Sites

CovertPirates.com has not reviewed the sites linked to its Internet website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by CovertPirates.com of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk. We do not have control over the contents of those sites or resources.

If you choose, or you are provided with a password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any user password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use. The materials appearing on CovertPirates.com's website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. CovertPirates.com does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. CovertPirates.com may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. CovertPirates.com does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.
